of Substance Award is awarded to the women who are strong, powerful,
independent presenting to be an inspiration for all. A woman of substance is a
woman of power, a woman of positive influence and a woman of meaning.
Who Can Apply For This
Award?
For
Professional Associations/Institutions; members within the respective
professional bodies/associations or institutions nominate and vote by filling
in the forms within their memberships and a name that is given the most votes
is presented to WOSA committee to receive the award. The recipients
of these awards are all stellar women who have harnessed the spirit of
Activism, Innovation, Professionalism, and excellence to produce tangible,
path-breaking results in their respective sectors.
For
other categories, all women across Malawi can participate. The recipients of these awards are
all stellar women or male champions who have harnessed the spirit of Activism,
Innovation, Professionalism, Entrepreneurship, and excellence to produce
tangible, path-breaking results in their respective sectors.
What is the Nomination Process?
- Nomination
Process: The
nominations/applications are invited throughout the country from the
potential nominees by way of e-mails, phone calls, mails, whatsapp
and other digital modes. The nomination form is made available
to all professional bodies/associations or institutions or you
can get it directly by our team members.
- Selection
Process (Other Categories): WOSA
recognizes women and male champions who has demonstrated superior leadership
and success over several years and have a inspiring story. Nominee should
have a track record of long-term achievements, community involvement and
professional growth. The recipient will be women who are known for their positive
influence and competent abilities.
Are there any Nomination
Fees
Currently
there are no nomination fees involved, but nominees are encouraged to provide
their own transport and accommodation to the Awards Gala, professional
bodies/associations and institutions are encouraged to sponsor their nominees
to attend the event.
As
per the terms of WOSA, all selected nominees are requested to confirm your
registration by registering as soon as possible as we are accepting very
limited nominations, failing which the nomination shall be withdrawn. PALGNET
and Plan Malawi does not charge for the prestigious award, however participation
fees for attendees are required to cover up the expenses towards hospitality,
PR, guests event expenses and event venue.
